Hands Across the Sea Samplers - Elizabeth Stephenson 1854 , Queen of the May 2025

Elizabeth’s beautiful sampler has been reproduced using a palette of 22 colours carefully matched to the colours found on the front of the sampler. The model was stitched using Soie 100.3 from Au Ver à Soie, and we have included conversions for Soie d’Alger (SDA) and DMC.

The model was stitched on Tabby Cat Linen - Just The Ticket. We carry it dyed on the Sotema base which are counts of 30, 37 & 47/48 count. See Related Items below to order fabric.

Fabric Cuts:

• 30 count - 28 x 27.5        Cut size SH 36 x 35.5
• 37 count - 24 x 23.5        Cut size SH 36 x 35.5
• 47/48 count - 20 x 19.5   Cut size SH 36 x 35.5

These are sorted by number within each thread type. Noted in () as (x, y, z) are the number of skeins you'll need for the count). Use 1 strand of Soie 100.3. Use 2 strands of DMC or SDA on 28 & 32 count, 2 strands of DMC on 36 count, 1 strand of DMC on 40-46 count, 1 strand of SDA on 36-46 count.
