Want to have your scissors or other tool personalized? Cathe aka The Floss Queen, can engrave/mark your scissors/tool with a name or initials. Typically for scissors the engraving is done on the section between the blade and the handle. Some scissors, like the Kohana, have a longer section, others a just enough room for initials.
You can indicate if you want a block or script font, or you can let Cathe decide what works best. Also indicate what name or initials you want on the scissors.
If you want a cipher (2 intertwined letters) you can select that as well. See the Cipher tab for how to select the 2 letters for the cipher.
When placing the order include a description of the scissors if you are sending more than one pair to us. Print out and include a copy of the order or at least the order number in the package when you send the scissors to us. They will be engraved and shipped and back to you.
If you are ordering scissors from the online catalog, just add this as an order item and make a note that it's for scissors you are purchasing.
Cathe can also engrave tweezers such as the Pinzette. Just note that in description for the item to be engraved.
A cipher is made up of two letters, usually your first and last name, which interlock. The cipher alphabet used has a wide letter and narrow letter, 1 of each per cipher. You will need to indicate which letter you want for the WIDE letter and which for the NARROW.
As you’ll see below, it makes a difference on how the cipher looks. While we’ve used the AB combination for the example, also included is a photo with Cathe's cipher of CR. In this case she chose a Wide R and Narrow C.
This photo is of a needlekeep but the cipher is the same regardless of size or material.
