    Frightful House stands deep in the gloomy shadows of Haunted Hollow. When the leaves begin to fall, the house wakes up, and all the inhabitants take their places to show us how scary they can be. Owlvira Owl is the house manager. She has a room in the attic where she plans all the entertainment for each frightful night.

    The Stitch Guide includes behind the scene stories for each side of the house.

    Fences with garlands of purple lights surround the house, and the front door has a spider knocker. Ghosts, grimacing pumpkins, frogs, bats, spiders, skeletons, monsters and one menacing mummy appear on the 4 sides of the house, and you will find more creatures on the roof and in the creepy crawl space below. Owlvira’s attic room features a spider web rug and black felt walls for needles and pins (and a little frog charm).

    Using DMC and 4 shades of Weeks Floss, stitch the house as one piece on one large piece of linen, the 4 roof sections on another and Owlvira on a third piece. Linen choices are Weeks 32 CT Tin Roof Linen or Zweigart 32 CT Dark Cobblestone Belfast Linen. Finished size for the bungalow is approx. 5½” X 2¼”.

    Owlvira is stitched as one piece, then folded in half. Black and purple beads sparkle on her chest and her eyes are hypnotic orange sequins. A bat flies across a harvest moon on her back. Black hairpin wires are included for her “feet” and a bronze bead and purple flower sequin for her hat. Owl is not available separately.

Many of our vendors are still taking longer to supply us due to increased demand and supply chain issues. If you only want items we have in stock, please mark your order Ship Partial Cancel Incomplete Items. While we would love to be able to give firm ETAs for items we are out of, that's not possible with the disruption COVID-19 continues to cause across the supply chain.

    Russian customers: We are unable to accept orders being sent to Russia or using a payment method with that as the country of origin due to sanctions.

    EU & UK customers: We are no longer shipping orders less than £135 (~$170USD) to the UK or €150 (~$165USD) to the EU due to VAT requirements imposed by the EU & UK governments. If you are in the EU or UK and you order is over £135/€150, we can send it an you will be responsible for VAT when it is delivered. For orders under that amount, we would suggest having us send it to a Freight Forwarder in the US, which can then handle the requiste paperwork for VAT. We hope the UK & EU governments will adjust the rules to limit its scope to large scale businesses, but we're not confident that will happen.

    If you use the Save Cart feature, be sure your cart is empty when you retrieve/view the saved cart. It will over-ride what is in the existing cart.

    Please note that we do not charge for orders until we ship them. The checkout process will capture your information for us to use when we ship your order. As we do not have a real-time inventory system, please contact us at the shop if you need us to check if we have the items you need in stock if your order is urgent.

    Our time to pull orders is currently 2-3 business days. Do indicate any Deadline in the appropriate field..
