A new embroidery flower alphabet book from a master embroiderer, Elisabetta Sforza inspired by nature. In un campo di grano-Alfabeti da ricamare or In a wheat field-Alphabets to stitch" has just been released.
It's a book filled with drawings of flowery letters, compiled with wheat, poppies,
cornflowers, bellflowers and daises. It contains 32 pages and embroiderers can
find a full alphabet 11 cm high, 13 decorative drawings, one chromatic suggestion and 12 pages of tutorial to learn stitches and composition.
The book is in English and Italian.
We'll send the book either Priority Mail (Flat Rate envelope if less than 2 of them) within the US or First Class International for overseas books. The book will come in a sealed plastic bag so it won't get soaked.
We have received our another book shipment from Italy so we do have copies in stock.
Elisabetta uses Graziano 6262 linen for much of her work. In the US it is brought in by Access Commodities and sold under their Legacy Linen series. You'll find the colors of the 6262 style linen we have available in our online catalog. Caster Sugar is White, and Gothic Ivory is cream.
The photo below shows the Sycamore Seed Pod stitched as counted work with Soie Surfine, Soie 100/3 and Soie d'Alger in red. The color is a tan a bit lighter than DMC 738 (not as much of a red cast as the photo shows).
