Stumpwork Masterclass is a 208 page soft cover publication showcasing Stumpwork embroidery that started out as a two year face to face Masterclass for The Embroiderers Guild, Victoria (Australia).

Alison Cole wrote this book for beginners to Stumpwork embroidery as well as experienced stitchers as it contains information on all aspects of this beautiful form of embroidery – combining techniques that I teach in my beginners and intermediate classes as well as the masterclass.

While the main focus of Stumpwork Masterclass is techniques found on historical pieces of Stumpwork, it also encompasses modern techniques. This book takes Stumpwork apart and looks at its history and each element that makes it up – from motifs such as flowers and animals to stitches and needle-lace.
