For your spring stitching pleasure, Just Nan has released the second in their Mouse on a Roll (MOAR) series. The first one  (summer) was released in 2018. All scissor rolls in the series will be the same size, and each will feature a guardian mouse. The rolls are designed to hold 3½” or 4” scissors of your choice

Each of the mouse garden scenes on the outside of the roll features a mouse and a moment in a spring garden. Look for a fence with flowers under the wisteria; daffodils under a splashing wall fountain; towering jonquils reaching for the sun, and a large basket of flowers on a garden table. Tiny pink tulips separate the scenes which are grounded with graphic grass patterns. The scenes are embellished with white pearl and pink beads, with a frosted amber bead marking the closure. Inside, 3 little helper mice scurry through spring flowers to a bower filled with roses, violets and crocus - the padded pocket for the scissors. Find a fourth mouse peeking through the trellis! The verse: “In a bower among the flowers pretty scissors hide.”

Want Fabric? If you want to purchase fabric for this design click on the items below to choose your fabric size (price shown is for a full yard). You'll need an Mouse Cut of Blush (6x6.75) or an Ornament Cut of Honeysuckle (9x9) and a Mouse Roll Cut of Ice Blue (6x13.5).

Stitch the roll as one long piece on your linen, form a scissor pocket with the overdyed wool backing, sew on a snap and roll it up! Four mouse garden scenes will show on the outside, the path to the scissors and verse will be inside and your scissors will stand at attention in the middle. Place Daisy Mouse on top of the roll to guard the scissors.
